Does my Gi have to be a specific color?We allow your uniform to be any colour.

Can I wear spats in NoGi?You are free to wear spats underneath your board shorts. However, you MUST wear shorts over the spats.

What are the NoGi uniform requirements?Our uniform policy is as follows for NoGi: Competitors must wear a skin tight rash guard/compression shirt. Both long and short sleeve are acceptable. Competing shirtless or in a t-shirt is forbidden. Male competitors MUST wear board shorts with no pockets, zippers, or hard material of any kind. They may choose to wear skin tight spats/compression pants underneath the shorts. Female competitors may choose to wear just skin tight spats/compression pants, board shorts without any pockets, zippers, or hard materials of any kind, or a combination of both.

What are the Gi uniform requirements?Our uniform policy is as follows for Gi divisions: Competitors can wear a Gi of any colour as long as it is not overly long or short. Referees reserve the right to ask a competitor to change their Gi. Competitors must ensure their belt is not overly short and remains grippable for an opponent. Competitors may wear patches on their Gi as long as they do not prevent grips.

Can I wear knee/elbow pads or braces?Competitors can wear sleeves/pads/braces on their elbows/ankles/knees as long as they do not contain any plastic, metal, velcro or hard material of any kind.

Can I use tape on my joints?Competitors can tape their joints as long as it is a thin layer and does not provide any perceivable competitive advantage.

How long are matches?The time limit for every Adult match in the tournament, including the round robin & the finals, will be 5 minutes. The time limit for Kids aged 14-17 years old in the tournament, including the round robin & the finals, will be 4 minutes The time limit for every other Kids fight in the tournament, including the round robin & the finals, will be 3 minutes.

A referee made a mistake, what do I do?If you believe a referee error occurred on your mat an event, you MUST report it to the Head Table at the event immediately as per our Officiating Review policy.

I believe one of my opponents is a sandbagger.As per our Sandbagging Policy, please submit any complaints to grapplingindustries@gmail.com immediately upon realizing them for investigation.

Can I wear headgear?Headgear may only be worn in the case that it is for religious reasons. Ear guards are not permitted.
